I've been thinking about opening a Teachers pay Teachers store for awhile now. For one, I would like to start earning money online. I used to own a few ebay stores, and I liked the possibility, excitement and freedom that came from a non traditional income.
Also, I live in a very remote, desolate area and my husband and I would love to live somewhere else someday. I love being a teacher, but I would love the flexibility of becoming a teacher somewhere I actually really want to be. Don't get me wrong, I love my state and the school I teach at.. I just have always wanted to live somewhere green with water nearby (right now I live in the middle of the desert, about 200 miles from the nearest town over 30,000 people).
So here are my goals with TPT:
1. Make something new everyday.
2. Make my teaching better with it.
3. Learn about new things.
4. Help people with their own teaching.
5. Pay off my debt. (someday!)
and Lastly, I would like to blog everyday and find other upper elementary school teachers out there to chat with and steal ideas from.
