Day 3 creating products on TPT

Well, I spent the last 3 days of this nice Memorial day weekend learning how to make products for Teachers Pay Teachers!

First, I tried making powerpoints.  My fonts looked bad on them even after switching to boring fonts AND embedding the fonts in the file.  I don't know what is up with the powerpoint previews, but I feel like my powerpoints look way better than what I am seeing on there. They do not match the previews on my computer at all.  So, I guess unless I find a better way that I will start turning all my powerpoints into jpg files and then copying them into new powerpoints.  Sigh, what a drag!

So I set powerpoints aside for today, and I made some Grammar Posters.  For a very long time, I've been wanting to buy a poster about their, they're and there.   The sell one on allposters.com, but it's very dark and gloomy looking for a 5th grade classroom.  So, this weekend, I just made my own.  It isn't the coolest looking thing in the world, but for my first try, it's not too Shabby~!

Check it out in this listing of 10 grammar posters:
Set of 10 Grammar Posters Here

My students have a horrible time with there, they're their.. as well as your and you're .. and even to, two and too!   I made posters for the words I see most often misspelled in their writers' notebooks.

I also made some letter templates, that I thought teachers could give as a last week of school activity... Teachers writing letters to students, students writing letters to each other and students writing letters home to their parents.   It is amazing to see how many "letter" questions are on these standardized tests nowadays.

Today, I also taught myself how to make my favorite product: task cards!  I simply love them because they are sooooo easy to use. I usually cut mine out and then tape them all over the room, and the students rotate around the room like musical chairs to answer the questions.  I've done it so much that the kids sometimes moan and groan now, but trust me they loved it the first 7 or 8 times lol.

I made this set here for my own class, I am going to try it out on them tomorrow:  One last time!
End of Year 5th grade math Task Cards, right here!

These task cards took me ALL day to make, so I hope that someone someday loves them as much as I do!

I also made task cards for end of the year conversations and summer school writing prompts.  I try to search for the products in my head before I make them because I don't want to copy what anyone else is doing, I want to do my own thing, and I also want to research to see what the market is lacking!

Well, it's time for laundry.  Did I mention I am on the PALEO diet.  UGH  PALEO and TPT in one weekend, it really wore me out.

Good night friends!
