Practicing and Teaching Gratitude.
The first year is pretty rough in some cases. It is very easy to focus on all the negative things going wrong with this year...however, many theorists agree that focusing on what you're grateful for will DRASTICALLY improve your life. There are so many books written on this topic... one of my is the The Magic by Rhonda Byrne.

I know a lot of people tried The Secret and maybe loved it or got tired of it... but The Magic is not not really magic at all .. It is a 30 day gratitude prescription for the soul...every day, you find new ways to express your gratitude. I dare say there are many tips that you could use with your students as well.
As educators we want to be inspirational and motivational to our students, but sometimes the drag of everyday life can bring us down. The biggest pick me up in the world is realizing how lucky we are in the present moment. What better way than to teach our students the art of gratitude?
Until then, thanks for stopping by!
